Vypálené koťátko

This is not just a coffee house, but a real ceramic studio. This feature makes it very popular for families. Children love to draw, and while they are doing, parents can quietly chat with each other. A relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and a spacious garden make this a ceramic painting cafe an ideal place for summer family gatherings.

Original coffee shop combined with a tobacco kiosk. It is often visited by art students from the nearby gymnasium, chess players, and fans of Kafka. There is a veranda in the backyard for non-smokers. Homemade delicious desserts, excellent coffee, and a cozy interior. Have to admit that the terrace here is very conditional – tables and chairs are installed on the wooden flooring between the road and the sidewalk; however, this is not an obstacle for an excellent rest.

Kavárna Pavilion Grébovka

The coffee house is located on the territory of the second largest park in Prague, “Havlicky Gardens.” He is also called “The Robbery” by the name of the famous Prague industrialist Morica Gröbe, who in 1871-1888 bought the land in the Vinohrady area and ordered to build a villa with a large English park there.

The result was impressive: in addition to more than 120 different types of trees, many flowers, and greenery, the park housed therefore mentioned Neo-Renaissance villa, vineyards with wine cellars, a wooden gazebo and a pavilion in which our coffee house is located.

It is curious that initially, the building served as a gaming hall. Here everything was necessary for pleasant leisure: a shooting range, a bowling alley, chess tables and much more. Later the pavilion turned into a cafe, which got its modern look after the restoration in 2009.

It’s nice to stroll along the beautiful park and have a cup of coffee in an equally refined cafe, without leaving the center of the capital. The prices here are more than moderate, the coffee is excellent, but the choice of desserts is small. The menu of the cafe also offers snacks in the form of panini and fried sausages.

In the same park “Grebovka” is another, no less attractive, cafe. In the menu of drinks, wine reigns here, but coffee is also served. A building with an unusual architecture is located in the middle of the existing vineyard, and its terrace offers a stunning view of Prague. This is an excellent place for all who want to spend time in peace and tranquility with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
