- Reviews (1)
The Medieval capital of Czech Republic
An old small beautiful city of Cesky Krumlov is a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is situated on the banks of the Vltava river and has an amazing 13th-century castle with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements.
All architecture of the city remains intact. Strolling the old streets of Cesky Krumlov you will feel a real atmosphere of European medieval town. This city can offer you a lot: you can have a tour in the castle or promenade in wonderful floral gardens or alleyways, or have a drink in medieval pubs and alehouses, visit galleries or just admire old and nice houses with tiled rooves and picturesque nature around.
Hluboka Castle is one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic that is situated on a pond basin and above the Vltava River. It looks like a castle from a fairytale! Really amazing! This chateau has very lavish decorated interiors with woodcarvings and paintings of valuable collections.
On the territory of this castle, you can find a glassed-in winter garden, a riding hall, an English-style park and a chapel. And every summer there is also a music festival which takes place on the grounds of the chateau. So if you are a true lover of castles, don’t miss this one, a true fairy tale precious stone.
